In recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the Plymouth Public Safety Department will host a Resilient Community Voices event 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28, at the Plymouth Community Center, 14800 34th Ave. N.
The evening will begin with a resource fair featuring local partners, including domestic violence shelters, advocacy organizations, healthcare and legal resources, law enforcement and more. Attendees will also have the opportunity to visit the interactive “Voices Wall,” a space created to honor survivors, reflect and share messages of support.
At 7 p.m., a panel discussion will bring together community experts to talk about prevention, intervention and the challenges within systems that impact those experiencing domestic violence. The conversation will conclude with a question-and-answer session.
To close the evening, participants are invited to take part in a 20-minute guided restorative yoga session, emphasizing the event’s theme of fostering safety, resilience, and community healing through awareness and compassion.
The event is free and open to the public. No registration is required.
