Sensory-Friendly Sunday

Open to children of all ages, Sensory-Friendly Sundays offer participants the opportunity to enjoy amenities inside the gymnasium and Kids Ultimate Backyard Experience (K.U.B.E.) indoor playground. The events feature reduced attendance, dimmed lights and no overhead music to help minimize overstimulation. A sensory room will be open for breaks.

Additional equipment will be provided, including blocks for creative play, dedicated sensory bins, tumbling equipment and sports equipment. A limited number of noise-cancelling headphones will also be available.

Special Demonstration: Young Athletes Program

Presented in partnership with Special Olympics Minnesota and Anna Elder Homes, this month’s Sensory-Friendly Sunday includes a free demonstration of the Young Athletes Program, a sports play program that introduces children ages 2-7 to the world of sports. Equipment will be provided. Attendees may ask questions and learn about the program.

Coffee and pastries will be available at the event for parent networking.

While admission to the K.U.B.E. is free for this event, sponsored by Anna Elder Homes, participants must register.
