STEMtacular Saturday

The City of Plymouth will hold STEMtacular Saturday – a new event slated for 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 8 at the Plymouth Community Center, 14800 34th Ave. N.

In celebration of National STEM/STEAM Day, families are invited to explore the world of science, technology, engineering, arts and math with hands-on activities, experiments, engineering challenges and demonstrations.

Hands-on activities include balloon-powered hovercraft, catapults, mini robots and squishy science. Other science spectacles include gummy bear experiments, sound science, chemical reactions, LEGO engineering and 3D printing demos.

Some attendees may also have the opportunity to step inside a giant bubble or witness dry ice experiments.

Held in partnership with the STEM Lab of Minnesota, STEMtacular Saturday allows participants to experiment freely and move at their own pace through instructor-led activity stations.

The event is open to children ages 4 and older, paired with an adult. Price per couple is $20 for Plymouth residents, or $25 for non-residents. Cost is $10 for each additional attendee.

For more information about the event, contact Recreation Supervisor Paul Pearson at ppearson@plymouthmn.gov.
